ICEDIS: The International Committee For Electronic Data Interchange In Serials
Abstract
The main objective of ICEDIS is to promote the use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between publisher and agent and to reduce duplication of effort between trading partners. Serials are distributed to virtually all countries with the main markets being Europe, North America and Australasia. Most subscriptions are handled by agents who receive orders, payments, queries and many other types of communication from libraries and then forward these to the appropriate publisher. This article updates information published in Serials, Vol.7, no.2, March 1994.
