Consolidation Services - A View From the National Library of Australia

Abstract

After initially rejecting the idea of consolidation services, the National Library of Australia came to recognise sound operational and financial reasons for consolidation to be used in the acquisition of overseas serials. A comparative trial was undertaken and as a result of the successful outcome, consolidation has been extended to several areas of the serials collection
